It is a proud moment for Team NTC led by our Chairman & Managing Director, Mr K Chandramohan. NTC Logistics has commenced the multimodal movement of BGR Energy’s 800 MW power plant equipment from Chattisgarh to Kasheli Jetty. The cargo will be transported from Kasheli Jetty to Mumbai port wherefrom it will be loaded onto a heavy lift vessel to Hitachi, Japan. The distance covered in India is over 1300 km.
The consignment – a 375 MT generator stator – is being transported on road by hydraulic lifting Girder Bridge on 16 + 16 Goldhofer axles. The consignment is being pulled by three Volvo 520 pullers and one Scania 500 puller.
Here in the video the consignment is seen crossing through the bypass constructed to avoid the bridge that was not certified to withstand the load. The bypass was constructed by our infrastructure team in association with the local government officials. Mr Rajan Ezhilarasan, Head of the project, has been monitoring the movement onsite.
NTC Group CMD Mr K Chandramohan and Mr N Thillaiarasan, Director – Projects visited the site to oversee the operations.
