Koteshwar Sub-station, Uttarakhand – Logistics for one of the World’s largest transformer manufacturer This 2019 project involved transporting 14 transformers weighing 136 Tons each on specialized trailer equipment.

The project was successfully delivered despite having to transport them to Koteshwar Hills, 8000 feet above sea level, where even SUVs have difficulties reaching the destination. It included risky challenges such as Creating a temporary infrastructure for transport including road widening, rock blasting, overhead structure removals, and gradient normalization. At challenging bends in hilly terrains, the transformers were shifted to special heavy-duty trailers. Moreover, there was a limited transportation window due to which operations had to be continued in a temperature as low as freezing -3 degrees°C. The infrastructure created during the project is now being utilized by the locals and it has eased their daily commute.
