The NTC Malaysia team recently executed a complex shipment for one of our prestigious clients, demonstrating our unwavering commitment to excellence in logistics. The cargo, a rotor equipment requiring repairs at an exclusive plant in Durban, embarked on its journey from Danang, Vietnam, to Durban Port. The meticulous planning and execution of this operation ensured a seamless transit, completing the journey in just 22 days from port to port.

Upon arrival at Durban, the customs clearance was efficiently finalized within two days, allowing the cargo to be delivered to its designated location on the same day. The rotor was carefully packed in a wooden crate, necessitating precise planning for its handling. Lifting the rotor using belt lashing at both ends was crucial to maintain its balance and prevent any potential damage during transport.

Initially booked as a 1×40’FR in gauge, the cargo dimensions after packaging measured 7.5 meters in length, 2.2 meters in width, and 2.15 meters in height, weighing approximately 25,000 kg. This increase in size classified the cargo as Out of Gauge, requiring reapplication and approval prior to shipment.

Faced with this challenge, our dedicated team coordinated effectively to secure the necessary approvals for the Out of Gauge cargo to ship on the same vessel. This process involved extensive paperwork and collaboration with relevant authorities and shipping companies, showcasing our team’s expertise in managing intricate logistics.

Despite the hurdles encountered, the NTC Malaysia team successfully shipped the Out of Gauge cargo, valued at EUR 334,000.00, to South Africa. This achievement not only highlights our logistical prowess but also reinforces our commitment to ensuring that clients’ cargo arrives safely and on time, no matter the complexities involved.
