NTC Logistics once again demonstrated its prowess in heavy-lift transportation with the successful movement of a Dehexanizer column weighing nearly 260 MT to HMEL’s Guru Gobind Singh Refinery in Bathinda. The project involved the use of NTC’s specialized Self-Propelled Modular Transporter (SPMT), a highly adaptable and advanced piece of equipment designed to handle super ODC (Over Dimensional Cargo) with precision and safety.

The Dehexanizer column, a critical component for the refinery’s operations, required the use of 34 axle lines, configured to distribute the immense weight evenly and ensure safe transportation over long distances. Given the sheer size and weight of the column, NTC’s team conducted extensive route and site analyses to identify potential challenges and develop a comprehensive transportation plan.

The route was fraught with challenges, including tight corners, narrow roads, and overhead obstructions, which required strategic planning and expert handling. NTC’s team of engineers and logistics specialists carefully navigated the ODC through these challenging terrains, employing advanced solutions like turning radius modifications and temporary road adjustments to ensure safe passage.

Once the column reached the refinery, the next challenge was the precise installation of the equipment. NTC’s team, with its wealth of experience in handling such critical cargo, successfully maneuvered the Dehexanizer column into its final position using their specialized tools and cranes, ensuring that the installation was completed with precision and within the project’s tight deadlines.

Throughout the project, NTC Logistics upheld the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
