Transporting wind blades of exceptional length across challenging terrains is no small feat, and NTC Logistics is proud to be at the forefront of this mission. Currently, we are handling the logistics for some of the longest wind blades in India, each measuring an impressive 77.5 meters. Covering 600 kilometers from our customer’s facility in Chennai to the VOC Port in Tuticorin, this project not only underscores the complexity of transporting renewable energy components but also highlights our expertise in delivering large-scale, specialized logistics solutions.

The journey from Chennai to Tuticorin is a carefully orchestrated process that requires meticulous planning and extensive coordination. At NTC Logistics, our team began by conducting detailed route surveys to assess the road conditions, evaluate turn angles, and identify potential obstacles such as narrow pathways, bridges, and urban areas. Each step was mapped to precision, with our team evaluating safe clearance points and selecting bypass routes where necessary to avoid any disruptions. Additionally, each blade’s delicate structure necessitated careful handling to prevent damage, with safety protocols in place at every stage of the journey.

Our fleet includes specialized trailers and extendable carriers designed to accommodate the extraordinary length of these wind blades, ensuring secure placement and balanced weight distribution throughout the transit. Trained drivers and operators play a crucial role, employing precision maneuvering to negotiate challenging turns and stretches, especially in areas with restricted clearances. By using advanced monitoring systems, our team can track each stage of the journey, making real-time adjustments to ensure that every aspect aligns with our commitment to safety and timeliness.

Upon arrival at VOC Port, the blades require careful unloading and positioning for port handling, a process that demands the same level of diligence. Our team coordinates with port authorities to streamline the unloading operations, ensuring that each blade is safely positioned for its onward journey.
