Transporting a colossal power generator stator weighing 364 metric tons across vast and challenging terrain is no ordinary task, but it’s one that NTC Logistics approached with unmatched expertise. Recently, our team managed the logistics of a massive stator, taking it from Sanand in Gujarat to Obra in Uttar Pradesh—a journey filled with obstacles that demanded precise planning, skilled navigation, and expert handling.

The route was anything but straightforward. Apart from a distance that spanned hundreds of kilometers, the team encountered multiple critical turns, steep hill sections, and seven railway crossings. These crossings required meticulous coordination with railway authorities for pre-arranged shutdowns, ensuring the stator’s safe passage without disrupting regular railway schedules. Each step of this intricate journey was carefully coordinated by our logistics experts, who anticipated the challenges and developed a comprehensive strategy to address them.

Further complicating matters, the route included areas where standard roads wouldn’t suffice for a cargo of this size and weight. Our team constructed multiple bypasses and undertook extensive road development work along the way, creating a smooth pathway for this super heavy consignment. This not only showcased our dedication but also highlighted our capability to solve complex logistical issues with custom solutions that prioritize safety and efficiency.

In addition to the Obra project, NTC Logistics successfully transported three other stators, each weighing 364 metric tons, to the NUPPL Ghatampur Thermal project. This journey covered an impressive 1,530 kilometers, and our team delivered these units within the promised timeframe, navigating rugged terrains and ensuring that each step was executed precisely as planned. Notably, these efforts took place during the challenging pandemic period, a testament to the resilience, commitment, and teamwork displayed by our staff.
