NTC Logistics has demonstrated its unparalleled expertise in handling intricate logistics operations by successfully facilitating the transportation of critical components for a prestigious chemical manufacturer setting up a new unit in Jolva, Gujarat. The project involved the seamless importation of materials from various global locations, with a key focus on the transportation of a 300 MT converter—the operational heart of the new facility.

Our objective was to deliver a comprehensive logistics solution that encompassed the end-to-end movement of 69 packages, including the pivotal converter from Tianjin Port, China, to the designated site in Jolva. We meticulously identified a suitable discharge port, evaluated the feasibility of movement, and executed the transportation from the delivery port to the plant site within the established project timeline.

To expedite the process, timely cargo reception at Dahej Port was crucial. NTC Logistics adhered to the operational guidelines of Adani-Dahej Port, which specified a berth capacity of 13 MT per line on hydraulic axles, inclusive of unladen weight. This meticulous attention to detail was paramount for the successful transfer of cargo from the South Breakbulk Berth to the storage yard.

To facilitate the movement of this substantial cargo, our team adeptly coordinated the removal of 42 light poles and 24 fire hydrant lines within the port premises, obtaining the necessary permissions swiftly to prevent any delays. Given the converter’s considerable width of 8.37m, a specialized axle combination was essential. Our engineering team rose to the occasion, employing a custom-designed 24+12 axle combination to ensure safe and efficient transport.

Civil development efforts included the widening of roads to navigate two 90° turns within the site, thereby ensuring the utmost safety for the cargo. Thanks to our meticulous planning and execution, the 300 MT converter arrived at its destination in Jolva well within the project timeline, underscoring NTC Logistics’ capability to manage complex logistics scenarios and provide end-to-end solutions for critical industrial projects.
