NTC Logistics

Delivering India’s Rich Diversity to the Global Stage

As the world prepares for the prestigious G20 Summit, India proudly showcases its rich cultural heritage through the transportation of the World’s Tallest Nataraja Statue. This extraordinary 28-foot-tall masterpiece, originating from Swami Malai, Tamil Nadu, stands at 21 feet wide and now graces the Bharat Mandapam at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, serving as a centerpiece for the International Exhibition-cum-Convention Centre.

Transporting such a colossal statue posed significant logistical challenges, requiring meticulous planning and execution. NTC Logistics was honored to handle this iconic movement, successfully delivering the statue within a remarkable timeframe of just four days. The journey spanned over 2,500 kilometers, navigating congested urban areas, narrow roads, and uneven terrain, all while ensuring the safety and security of this delicate structure.

To facilitate the transport, NTC employed a specialized trailer designed to accommodate the statue’s unique dimensions. A comprehensive pre-planning process, including an extensive route survey, ensured seamless passage. Toll plazas along the route were cleared in advance, and a green corridor was established with local authorities to manage traffic effectively.

The complexity of the journey became particularly evident near the Thoppur Ghats Section, where roadblocks were necessary to manage heavy congestion. Precision maneuvering was critical near Hosur, where narrow single-lane roads presented additional challenges. The most demanding segment occurred between Adilabad, Telangana, and Nagpur, Madhya Pradesh, where severe road congestion and stringent time constraints tested our logistics expertise.

NTC’s team underwent thorough training to prepare for this monumental task, demonstrating unwavering dedication as the statue completed its journey in an astonishing 88 hours. Throughout the operation, our senior management closely monitored progress and maintained communication with officials from the Union Ministry, ensuring the successful completion of this extraordinary mission. This accomplishment exemplifies NTC Logistics’ commitment to excellence in handling even the most challenging transport logistics, reinforcing our role in promoting India’s artistic and cultural legacy on the global stage.
