NTC Logistics

Leading the Charge in Modular Fabrication Transportation

NTC Logistics, your premier one-stop solution provider for all project cargo-related services, has successfully secured a multimodal operations contract for ocean transportation. This landmark project involved the meticulous barging of 31 Pipe Rack Modules, each weighing between 400 MT and 650 MT, from a Modular Fabrication Facility located north of Chennai to a jetty near Visakhapatnam. The cargo was destined for a domestic refinery project near Vizag, underscoring our commitment to supporting key infrastructure developments in India.

The pipe rack modules and associated technology structures presented unique challenges due to their diverse dimensions, with some packages measuring up to 30 meters in length, 14 meters in width, and 20 meters in height, weighing up to an impressive 660 MT each. In total, the cargo volume reached 1.54 lakh freight tons (FRT). The operation was planned meticulously across 13 voyages, utilizing a dumb barge to navigate the coastal routes, complemented by a suitable pulling tug for enhanced operational efficiency.

This undertaking marks a significant milestone as it is the first instance where NTC has shipped an entire modular fabrication, manufactured in India, to a domestic refinery project. It represents a pivotal moment in the history of NTC Logistics, showcasing our capacity to manage complex logistics requirements while ensuring the highest safety and operational standards.

NTC Logistics prides itself on its ability to innovate and adapt, consistently delivering exceptional solutions tailored to meet the unique demands of each project. Our expertise in multimodal transportation not only streamlines operations but also reinforces our commitment to contributing to India’s industrial landscape.
