Navigating Complexities, Delivering Excellence in Heavy Cargo Logistics

NTC Logistics has once again demonstrated its capability to handle challenging over-dimensional cargo with the successful transportation of a generator stator from Ennore Port to the 1*X880 Super Thermal Plant in Athipattu. This project involved moving a sizable and heavy load, measuring 10.22 meters in length, 5.10 meters in width, and 4.84 meters in height, with a weight of 466.26 MT.

The movement required meticulous planning and execution due to the cargo’s significant dimensions and weight. To facilitate this, our team utilized a specially configured vehicle consisting of 16 lines of 1 + ½ line axles. This setup provided the necessary support and stability to transport the generator stator safely across the designated route.

Covering a distance of just 9 kilometers, the operation was nonetheless complex, demanding close attention to every detail. Prior to the movement, extensive route surveys were conducted to identify any potential challenges, such as road conditions, overhead clearances, and tight corners. Our logistics team collaborated closely with local authorities to ensure that all required permits were obtained well in advance.

Safety was paramount throughout the operation. Our Quality and Environment, Health, and Safety (QEHS) specialists meticulously adhered to all safety regulations and protocols to protect both our crew and the cargo. This commitment to safety and precision allowed for a smooth transport process, mitigating any risks associated with moving such a large and heavy item.

The successful delivery of the generator stator underscores NTC Logistics’ dedication to excellence in heavy cargo logistics, further solidifying our reputation as a leader in the industry. With each project, we continue to redefine what is possible in the realm of logistics.
