NTC's delivers a massive 202 MT Transformer cargo on time
‘Beyond’ is just within the Ballpark
NTC’s Project Logistics division delivers a massive 202 MT Transformer cargo on time using 14 Goldhofer axles with 2 Volvo 460 Pullers from Vadodara in Gujarat to Virudhunagar in Tamil Nadu. The cargo of dimensions 7.69 m x 5.28 m x 5.13 m took the journey close to 2300 km, and the logistics efforts became more arduous with the onset of the North-East monsoon. Several roads in Ankleshwar, Sagbara, Dhule, Shirpur, Nagpur, and Ahmednagar regions were damaged. NTC Logistics, with its in-house technocrats in road survey & infrastructure, developed the roads needed to keep up with the schedule.
Several digital route boards en route managed by L&T that were never removed before had to be removed after seeking permission to manoeuvre the cargo safely through the section. Further, the last 14 km was through a mine road managed by RAMCO, which only allowed pass-throughs on Thursdays. Despite these complications, NTC Logistics has efficiently measured up to its delivery yardsticks and project expectations, as usual.
